Astro is a Teleco Architect from Giza, Egypt. Currently, he is working at OQ Technology in the spectrum of NB-IoT, and 5G integration into non-terrestrial networks (NTN). In the past, he worked as an RnD Specialist with the Interdisciplinary centre for Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT) with support to EU organisations including SES Luxembourg, Proximus, LSA (Luxembourg Space Agency), and ESA (European Space Agency) among many. Astro received his B.Sc. Degree (distinction with honor) in Electrical Engineering from the Canadian International College in 2017 with the thesis titled Cognitive Radio Network that was developed with Virginia tech, USA to develop spectrum coexistence solutions using software-defined radio. Astro's research interest includes Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN), 5G/6G, Wireless communications, Software Defined Radios (SDRs), SatCom, Blockchain, IoT, and real-time system

Open for volunteering and contributing to any project revolves around the sustainable development. For instance, celluler based open-source solution with focus possible non-profit implementation in rural and remote areas under the umbrella of UN for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Furthermore, any work supporting UN agenda for SDGs. I will be glad to serve, share and support.
